Another Poker game. For the Networks!
Yet another poker game beginning. This one is being filmed by KEZI in Eugene Oregon. Vicki, Sandy and I are the players. The Mustang mare gets haltered in under an hour.
Calming the Kicky Mare
This nice Mustang mare had been ear-pinning and double kicking handlers the previous day. I was due to arrive Tuesday and some one suggested I try her the really "Slow" way that I use. She soon realized I understood her need for "Space" and we had a dialogue going. Next I brought in the TA's who help me, Vicki and Sandy. We expanded the "Circle" to calm the mare.
Kicky-Mare accepts the halter
We used the Navajo Circle, all of appearing to be randomly bobbing about. The Kicky-Mare accepted me but really liked this young girl. The mare allowed the girl to halter her. Then she allowed some scratching and rubbing on the neck. And it only got better from there. A very good example of the transformation that come about using a very quiet yet "Horselike" training method.
Happy Mare
Now here's a happy teenager and a happy Mustang Mare. She was adopted on the Saturday adoption the BLM put on.
Another happy Clinic particpant
In fact, Kicky-Mare let many participants halter and rub on her.
Hello -- who are you?
Here's a rather hard to get to mare. She's pretended to be more afraid than she was. I call this Bamboozling me. We worked it out and she was adopted by Rhonda. She owns a Mule Packing outfit in Oregon.
The mare has the ability to move about and deal with all the motion displayed by each member of the Navajo Circle group. She is forced to deal with objects strange to her in all quadrants of her vision and at the same time.
