Agrippa: July 2005 from working parents Lilly (GP) and Bandit (Kuv) puppy pictures this link.
Little Agrippa, 9 weeks old, exploring around the wild burros, Jennifer and her daughter, Fiona.
Agrippa 3.5 months walking in main pasture with Badger (GP).
Agrippa examines Taurus. He's familiar with Burros and is now trying to understand the larger horses.
Agrippa was born right in with Sheep and was both excited and pleased to be allowed in with the main flock for the first time.
Another day out learning. Badger and Abbey (L) easily picked up training Agrippa on his second foray out into the big fields.
Abbey looks back to see if Agrippa is keeping up. Brave little 3.5 month old !! Rosie on the right and Cassiopeia ,left, approaches to see the new puppy in her field.
Nearly 5 months old and he's still good friends with Fiona. They are napping in a little December sunlight on a windy day.
January and Agrippa has recently begun to display great LGD traits on his own. I noticed that Agrippa was alerting as we stood by this green gate. He was focused on where I could see Badger was laying down albeit with his face looking way over here. This is a Telephoto picture. Then Agrippa ran to the right and out to take another warning stance. He clearly WAS saying "I see a dog in the middle of the sheep !!". It doesn't matter that he already knows Badger. What was a good sign was that he was scanning the sheep and detected a non-sheep entity. Furthermore, he made a decision to be decisive about the investigation. Well, Leroy heard the commotion and joined in. This caused Badger to jump up and come to the aid of Agrippa and Leroy thinking THEY were spotting something. Agrippa is now 6 months old.
Agrippa and Shrek playing the daily-donkey-game of "Bite Cheek" .
May of '07. I am riding Tinka and Agrippa steadfastly guards us, keeping the other horses from attacking the "interloper", namely Tinka. And he's clean looking right?
Oh yeah! Then he goes over and rolls back and forth in horse pooh ... masks his smell to predators and, rest assured, I will not be hugging Agrippa just yet.
21 November 2007 and Agrippa is mildly interested in a stray feral dog who is guarding her den by Tygart's. He looked, and left! Note that every day I ride down here on a horse and Agrippa has noticed her before. Good Kuvasz!!
