Zakat and Atia. We are working the 'Orchard'. I am going to fence it early so Atia can have an additional 2 acres to patrol since I can't put her in with anyone else, Bagari or Lilly. Not really Atia's fault. I am just getting no-where trying to put her to work. She doesn't seem able to defend herself alone.

Last day of September, a real 'Fall' feeling day. Atia had another encounter with Lilly, in the upper-paddock, yesterday.  A a consequence,  Atia is limping from the right-rear rather much. I did not observe the tussle. I did see Bagari try to engage Atia three days ago, in the upper paddock.  I had Zakat in there with me. Atia stood the perfect Neutral-Lady and Bagari tried a few times to get Atia to 'submit'. Titus is mean to both Atia and Bagari, in the paddock. Both have dropped him, as they have done to Lilly. But now, neither seem to feel confident enough to do anything. Thus, if it rains, I have observed Bagari to stay in the rain because Titus growls at one end of the barn. Well, yesterday I decided to have Zakat protect Atia from harassment. This was the third day I had done that. Two days ago I saw Atia and Zakat galloping along at the upper fence-line. She seemed very happy to have a 'Champion' so she could make the "rounds" and not have either of the Pyrs hassle her. Not-so-much yesterday. Apparently Lilly did something because she is Trashed. See her picture. So like I said, three females and none can work together. I will be switching to all-male cast as soon as I can gather some more Pyrenees rescues.

Some teenagers, who also ran the race ... how many in your town run foot races? Did  you notice that all girls "Pose" .. Atia is the first to agree ....

Atia poses ... again and again .. Kids love her

Leah says she'll take Atia home. Not a bad idea.  I'm worried Atia will invite anyone who walks near the fence to rub her belly. I need a test case ....

Atia's tough life. Saturday about 2 or 3 miles walking around park.  Then it's Belly-Rub time at Panera's for breakfast ....

See. Atia does get dirty; does work and does interact with the other LGD's . n her mind though it's "Noblesse Oblige " !!

Atia's private drinking-fountain at Pets-mart. As it's mid-September, pretty soon she won't be as thirsty.

ATIA: Whoa Ass! Why are you staring at me?

FIONA: I prefer to be called a Burro, or Donkey if you please! Why are you out here?

ATIA: Like I said ...... and you're staring at me!

Today was a day of drizzle. The first hint of Fall. Atia and Zakat are on their way to check the level of grain in the Calves "Creep Feeder".

how'd I get Zakat's picture in here? That's MiHa the thoroughbred, sassy, filly.

ATIA: Ok  "Burro" , that is better. I will pretend to ignore you.  Now you may be allowed to investigate my scent.

FIIONA: Now that's a bitch! Doesn't she know I see sideways? My right ear should tell her I am investigating her already.

ATIA:  I HEARD that! I prefer you refer to me as Princess Atia and not the "B" word. Though the female of the species is the "B" word. The "B" word often gets web pages put on the "R" list. Wrongly so. But I imagine this is over your Donkey head anyway.

At least the light drizzle gets the dust off Atia's coat. She doesn't notice it at all.

She's been escorting those calves,  from back at the Creep-Feeder,  to their mom's area down here. They were tagging along on our left until they saw the moms.  Then they all sprinted.

Atia was excessively happy with Emily. Miss-Princess kept demanding that Emily rub the back; Emily rub the ears. Finally,  Atia rolled over and pinned down the feet of Emily. So we think Atia is requesting a servant be added to her realm.

Next day and she is resting with Zakat as a devious Filly named "MiHa" pokes around in the bed of the truck.

Atia decided to stop and investigate this child.

Mary ushers Atia-of-the-Julii through at 0730 on race-day at a 5k beginning at the Ohio University Southern Campus in Ironton. It's 15 October if anyone is asking. You can tell Atia loves children. Look at Atia's eyes.

This is Roberta, overall Female Winner. Her daughter, Natalie (spelling??) was totally in love with Atia. Do to a computer-glitch where the finish places were not matched with the runners, it took an hour before the Awards Ceremony began. Natalie entertained Atia the entire time! This is fitting: Atia is a Princess and Natalie is a Princess.

These were smaller,  so she joined them.

Natalie takes her hand and, oh-so-gently- would stroke Atia's fur-coat. Atia loved it. Atia, I am certain, wants us to "buy" a Natalie for Atia's personal groomer.

.....

This little boy could say "Dog!" and said it a lot. It was really cute. He was certain Atia was a dog.

There's the "Paw" of "Keep petting me, or else!"

What Atia wishes she was guarding on the weekends. Pay is good.

A while later and they are both studying Atia's massive feet.
