Bagari

Little Czarina!

Bagari became terribly afraid of the crowding horses. Suddenly Abbey, the Alpha GP, arrives out of the blue and protects Bagari. Abbey is grooming Bagari to eventually take over.

Then she spots a flock of blackbirds on the ground. Bagari heads towards them showing interest but not stalking.

I made my first test to recall her from a few hundred yards out .... results pleased me as seen in a telephoto picture.

Bagari moves around the birds and looses interest .. Perfect !

Well, gee ... Bagari has discovered what all the other LGD's seem to enjoy occasionally, the horse manure ... go figure !!

Mary introduces Bagari to #52, our mascot. Leroy watches.

.

But when I tried to head back to the barn, Bagari refused to use her feet. She threw several tantrums. Here I am dragging her by the chest-harness in the soft grass. Actually she is having fun, legs in air and biting at the lead-line. If I stop, she will sit up and look around. If I go OUT into the field, she will follow. When I head away from the field she lays down. Note rope in mouth here. You think she would go because Leroy and Badger and all the sheep were drifting to the barn and Bagari was previously playing amongst them. ... or would you?

Next day, November the 20th, and Bagari discovers Abbey hiding along the river banks.  Abbey does this from time to time when she is certain there will be a Coyote incursion. Bagari was very happy to discover Abbey and Abbey is  little upset at having her "cover" blown.

.

Couple days later and Bagari has figured out how to ride shotgun in the pickup-truck. In between occasional tantrums, she shows remarkable adaptive behavior.

She's throwing a wild tantrum. I had to carry her to the truck since she refused to budge nor leave the field. Agrippa is in the back of the truck watching her.

.

Seven days since Bagari arrived !! Badger has his "Take Out" breakfast. Bagari keeps getting sassy and trying  to steal it.

Later on, and after a lot of walking, Bagari finds a good bale of hay on which to rest.  Abbey appears and checks on her little student.

.

Thanksgiving day and puppy Agrippa plays with Bagari.  He is two months older than she is.

Abbey arrived to, I guess, stop the horse-ing around.  Bagari tried play-bite g Abbey.  The turned out to be exactly the wrong thing to do to the Alpha-Abbey. Bagari got instantly rolled and some gentle teeth on her neck.  Leroy watches and serves to dampen any severe reprisals from any party.  Badger is hungry and unconcerned.

.

The little Czarina brought a lot of heartwarming smiles from the residents.

After dinner, we all go to visit the Lifecare Center and give Bagari her first outing where she can meet other humans.
