Zakat, the usual great helper, pointed out the escape route. This one's about 400 to 500 feet away from the previous. Titus is smart.  I'll give him that one.  He found another place where I was unable to get the "T-Pole" close enough to the tree.  And he dug there.  The white guard-hairs from his coat are evidenced on the other picture. It's not intuitive in these pictures,  I guess, but the leaves are a different color where he's scraped the ground.

December 27th: . Well, this is the third time in four days that the guy has escaped. He does it sometime in the late night, I'd guess. All but once he's been back when I go to feed. If you've got an 'Escape Artist', you're in for a lot of expense and effort. Basically, he's a free-rider. Not much work since he's not in the paddock. And, the more one escapes,  the more one is going to try it. This will be my third confirmed EA in about 15 years. Since he's a rescue, it's proper to go the extra mile to try and force him to remain at work. The wire-dispenser broke the other day and the new one arrived today. I can get back to work laying a lower 'hot-wire'. Though it's supposed to snow tonight.

December 28th: So I had him locked overnight in the large X-Pen.  I expected to work on the repairs and knew he'd go out if I didn't plug that particular route. This morning I let him out,  at feeding time.  When I got back from the lower area, I saw Titus milling about on "Park Road", a name we gave the deer feeding area. Zakat discovered this escape-route.  It's up on the north perimeter. Titus is locked up in the X-Pen until I decide what to do with him.

December 27th:  I found another place, nearby,  where he had "Probed" the tensile capability of the lower wire on the Woven-Wire fence. Yesterday when he was out,  I opened the gate to our back-yard, by the bird-feeders, to let him in. It was Christmas and we opened presents. He laid down on the decking and slept happily for a couple hours.
